Frequently Asked Questions

Can I see sketches before production? You will not only see the design, you will be a critical part of the process, and production does not begin until you are satisfied with the design.
Can you replicate a piece I saw on another site? No. We can design with the piece in mind, but I am not interested in copying another artist, and you don’t want a copy either.
What design styles do you specialize in?I prefer to work in a mid-century design language, but we can design a piece to fit whichever style works for your preferences.
What customization options are available?I enjoy a challenge, so bring me your ideas, and we will find a way to make them reality. (Unfortunately, I still must obey the laws of physics, but I’m working on that)
What types of materials do you use in your work?I work in high quality solid wood, or furniture grade plywood. I incorporate glass, plastics, and metals where appropriate for the design. I will never use low quality plywood, particle board, or other materials that would compromise the longevity nor quality of the piece.
Can you incorporate materials I provide?Depending on the quality (see above) and the use of the materials, we can incorporate nearly anything into a piece to make it more personal for you. We can discuss this during the design phase.
Are design revisions included in the price? All design revisions must occur before materials are ordered. small revisions can be discussed on a case-by-case basis, but are not guaranteed to make it in the final product unless agreed upon.
Do you require a deposit?A deposit is required equal to the of the cost of raw materials prior to start.
What is your return policy? As each piece is designed for you, with your input, returns are not possible. If there is a defect noticed upon delivery, I will repair it at no cost to you.
How long does the process take from design to delivery? This is dependent on the product. a timeline will be provided once the design is finalized.
Can I check in during the building process?Yes! I will provide in-progress photos and video of your project coming to life. if you would like to visit the shop during construction, please call ahead… wood shops are hazardous with sharp objects and sawdust, so for your safety, a heads up is required.
Do you offer delivery?Within a reasonable distance, I can deliver the furniture to your home or business. However, especially for large pieces, bringing it into the home will be your responsibility, as I am a one-man show, and have yet to gain superpowers.
Do you ship out of state?I can ship most pieces, but the shipping costs will be the responsibility of the buyer. As you can imagine, the larger the piece, the more expensive it is. An inspection in-person, or on video, supplemented with photos will be required, as damage in shipping will be between the shipping company and the customer. I highly recommend picking up on site instead.
